Math Quotient (MQ) is a maths test-preparation centre in Bur Dubai, UAE. It helps students prepare for the maths in tests such as the SAT, IIT-JEE and maths Olympiads. It also runs the free BMI maths check, which finds a student’s maths level and the cause of each mistake. Himanshu Jain, an IIT Delhi graduate, founded MQ. The Dubai centre opened in 2019.

Himanshu Jain founded Math Quotient. He has a B.Tech from IIT Delhi. He is adjunct faculty at Amity University Dubai, and he designed the BMI maths check. His belief: there is no bad student, only bad teaching.

The BMI (Bureau of Math Investigation) check is a maths test that finds two things: the student’s real level and the reason for each mistake. It maps maths into 148 topics, 3,200 concepts and 320 levels of 10 concepts each. Every student starts at Level 1. The report then shows what to practise next.

The SAT is a digital test that you take in the Bluebook app. The maths section is 70 minutes long, in two 35-minute modules, with 44 questions. It is adaptive: your result in the first module sets how hard the second module is. A Desmos calculator is built into the app.

As of October 2026, the international SAT dates are 7 November 2026, 5 December 2026, 6 March 2027, 1 May 2027 and 5 June 2027. Registration closes about two weeks before each date. Check the dates on the College Board website before you book.
